JPEG Emerging Technologies Workshop Palo Alto Announcement
Context
The Joint Photographic Experts Group (JPEG) is a Working Group of ISO/IEC, the International Organisation for Standardization / International Electrotechnical Commission, (ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 29/WG 1) and of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU-T SG16). The committee is responsible for the popular JPEG 1, JPEG 2000, JPEG XS and JPEG XL standards and several other standards under development, such as JPEG AI, JPEG Trust, and JPEG Pleno families standards.
On the occasion of the 102nd JPEG meeting, a workshop will be organized on the 27th of January 2024 in Palo Alto, California, USA, hosted by Tencent Media Lab and co-sponsored by IEEE Signal Processing Society Santa Clara Valley Chapter.
During the workshop, leading JPEG experts will share highlights about some of the emerging JPEG technologies that could shape the future of imaging and multimedia.
